TL;DR
The White House OSTP provides insights into building trust in information. Building trust requires addressing uncertainty and complexity, indicating the uncertain and evolving nature of information, and maintaining integrity across interconnected information ecosystems. New methods for translating complex information to multiple audiences in a high-integrity manner are needed. Research is needed into decentralized methods for preserving integrity indicators and assessing information across multiple sources and platforms. User customization through improved algorithmic transparency and new technologies that aggregate content and enable users to adjust algorithmic preferences is also important. Comparative evaluation is needed to determine the feasibility and limitations of these approaches and to guard against unintended consequences.

Develop tools that go beyond simply evaluating social responsibility and actively design systems that facilitate communities in achieving ethical outcomes. - Downvotes, points based system, promote pro social behavior

Enhance the ability to identify, follow, and predict malicious narratives and content in content that involve altered information. Monitor changes in these narratives over time and in different media environments. - This is just a small glimpse in how we can anticipate harm :) always try to learn from others and what they’ve found most successful

A great place to start is to gather and confirm starting points/baselines and outcome metrics to guarantee precise and dependable evaluations of impact. - TTL on platform, time to removal, develop user profiles (product/ugc specific)
